On behalf of our Multinational Medical Devices Client in Limerick, we are currently sourcing a Principal Engineer to join the  the leadership of a fast-paced, innovative, and highly visible team, building Engineering and Manufacturing capabilities. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO : - Lead and support complex technical projects and programs, including leading expert teams to deliver Organisational Goals. - Identifying and delivering Engineering related projects (New Product introductions, innovative Cost Reduction initiatives, quality improvements, business continuity activities. - Grow their skill-sets in a highly automated, regulated, medical device manufacturing environment. - Represent the engineering team and collaborate with other functions throughout the business. - Support Engineering development through coaching and mentoring activities. - Contribute to the selection and hiring of new talent. Key Responsibilities: - Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and passion about solving business problems and staying ahead of current technology trends. -Be a technical lead and a member of the extended Engineering leadership team. Promote effective teamwork, communication, and collaboration to achieve desired objectives. - Develop a strong understanding of the business, it's strategic direction, the overall organizational goals and individual user needs. - Lead technical SMEs to deliver business goals and objectives, promoting innovation and growth within the site engineering community. - Be a champion of Safety and Quality standards in all areas. - Support and assist Engineering Managers and Principal Engineers in the team. - Communicate findings and outcomes throughout the organization, including site leadership. Essential Requirements: − Engineering Qualification to degree level (or higher. − 10+ years’ experience in an Engineering / Manufacturing or equivalent environment, preferably with medical device experience. − Proven track record in application of structured problem-solving methodologies to address complex problems. − Demonstrated success in the motivation and co-ordination of personnel and teams. − Proven Technical Expertise in Automated Manufacturing. − Strong Experience in Manufacturing Asset Management Strategies. − Strong background in Managing complexity. − Strong Influencing Skills Desirable. ** You must have the right to work in Ireland for this role ** If you have the above skills & experience please contact catriona.duggan@cpl.ie or Tele: 087 2419644.
