Embedded Test Engineer.   Overview: We are currently looking for an Embedded Test Engineer for our headquarters in Limerick. The successful person will be responsible for performing tests, troubleshoot issues with assembly of electronics devices and further develop a test system. You will be joining a team of talented engineers and will collaborate extensively with the wider Innovation team in Ireland and Poland.   Who we are and What we do:  Our client is Ireland’s fastest growing and market-leading smart grid technology and services company headquartered in Limerick with offices in Dublin, Sydney, Melbourne, Krakow and Texas. Their technology enables large electricity customers to actively participate in the electricity market to generate revenue in return for providing valuable services that help support the reliability of the power grid. Together, our clients can provide more power to the grid than some of the country’s large power stations. These services are delivered via our own custom designed control and communication systems. Our state-of-the-art systems are designed to provide the fast frequency response services that are needed to facilitate increased integration of renewable energy on the power grid.  The company was recently named the fastest growing technology company in Ireland at the Deloitte Fast 50 Awards in 2019. We are beginning to expand globally, with plans to implement energy system services in a number of other countries.     Key Responsibilities: ·       Perform test activities of electronics, ·       Develop, suggest improvements, and maintain the test system, ·       Analyse and troubleshoot problems with electronics devices assembly, ·       Review test procedures and instructions, ·       Work with Supervisors to plan and coordinate test activities, ·       Follow company policies and safety regulations.   Requirements: ·       Testing process knowledge, ·       1-year relevant experience in embedded development/testing of electronics, ·       Knowledge standard test environment (e.g., LabView, Python), ·       Analytical mindset and report writing skills.   Desirable: ·       Degree in electronic or electrical engineering, ·       Test/development experience with metering devices,   Enquiries: david.bourke@cpl.ie +353 (0)87 2950180.
