LOGISTICS AUTOMATION ENGINEER required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Biotech client to support a new project in Limerick, the contract will be for 12 months initially with the requirement being for 24 - 36 months in total. The LOGISTICS AUTOMATION ENGINEER role involves management of the Logistic Automated System vendors and technical oversight of their architecture design (including complying with Cyber Security Requirements) and software engineering. This role can be executed remotely (from within Ireland) through end of 2022...but site presence in Limerick will be required as project progresses. THE ROLE: * Provide subject matter expertise for Limerick site Logistic Automated System design, development, installation, testing, validation and support. * Partner with other senior technical staff to perform aspects of project delivery including but not limited to: Equipment specification and delivery, Site and Factory Acceptance activities, Verification/Qualification activities, and problem resolution. * Technically Lead and oversee the work and work products that the vendor produces. Including (but not limited to): Equipment specification and delivery, Site and Factory Acceptance activities, Verification/Qualification activities, problem resolution and integration approaches to IT systems. * Work collaboratively with the vendor Engineers and Developers. * Lead/Participate in vendor design reviews and application software reviews. * Interface regularly and provide formal and informal project status updates to Project Management. * Abide by all safety requirements and procedures pertaining to their role. REQUIREMENTS: * BS Engineering (or equivalent experience. * Minimum 5 years as an engineer in a highly automated environment supporting logistics automated systems. * Minimum 5 years experience in ASRS system design/support/commissioning. * Demonstrated technical leadership and teamwork abilities. * Experience of GMP, regulatory requirements, computer system validation, cybersecurity. * Good written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. * Experience with server/software application interfaces. * Thorough knowledge/experience in cGMP, ICH, USP and other applicable regulations.
