Controls Automation Engineer is required for a expanding controls company with over 30 years of industrial experience, based in the Mid-West. The controls Automation Engineer will be expected to manage and coordinate projects from inception to completion and subsequent hand over. THE ROLE: * Plan, implement and manage engineering projects at each phase including planning, design, documentation, software/graphics, installation, commissioning (and/or) validation and hand-over to client as required. * Strong hardware & software abilities is required. * Assist in controls & automation designs for projects. * Preparation of Functional Design Specification (FDS) and Detailed Design Specification (DDS) from the User Requirement Specification (URS. * Develop, test and install high quality control software code (PC and or HMI. * Testing of control panels and automation including Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT. REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Computer Science, Electronics, Electro-mechanical, Electrical or equivalent training/experience. * Excellent communication skills - written and oral. * Instrumentation and measurement experience is a distinct advantage. * Advantageous - experience with Cylon, Tridium, Trend.
