An External Manufacturing Manager is required by Careerwise recruitment to work with a Limerick based medical device manufacturing company, 12 month contract position. THE ROLE: * Act as change agent to lead improvements in quality, service and cost for External Manufacturing. * Deploy best practices across External Manufacturing network. * Deploy and drive adherence to "Managing Site Performance" processes and standards. * Lead the implementation of an effective portfolio management strategy and process to optimize resource allocations and ROI on capital invested. * Develop the standard processes, tools, scorecards, and metrics for External Manufacturing to allow leadership to easily identify risks, address performance issues, manage escalations and deliver on opportunities for improvement. REQUIREMENTS: * Minimum Bachelor's degree is required in a Supply Chain or Engineering discipline. * Advanced degree or MBA is preferred. * A minimum of 10 years of overall operations experience. Cross-Functional experience preferred. * Deep knowledge JJOS, continuous improvement tools, lean manufacturing and six-sigma. · Demonstrate working knowledge of process development and validation, including design of experiments, statistical analysis, and project management. * Proven success implementing large cost savings projects with external manufacture utilizing lean methodologies preferred.
