Policy Analyst/Economist - Part Time. Our client, a highly reputable organisation dedicated to supporting corporates & industry in the Limerick region, are now expanding their policy analysis & services team are have now engaged with Cpl to hire a Policy Analyst/Economist on an initial part-time basis of approx. 20-25hrs per week. This newly created role would ideally suit either an experienced policy analyst with a strong economic analysis background who is looking for a new part-time challenge, or a highly motivated & relatively recently graduated economics student who is now looking to kick on their career so if youre interested, please apply! The Job : As a key part of the team you will be tasked with preparing policy on regional topics such as employment engagement, commercial initiatives & transport/infrastructure planning, supporting lobbying activities on both regional & national issues in collaboration with other stakeholders, coordinate input from the membership & assisting the board & leadership team in delivering on their programmes. Additional specialised duties will include researching changes & updating to existing documents, data management & statistical analysis, ensuring policy objectives are clear to stakeholders & supporting other ad-hoc projects as needed. Your Skills/Experience that we need : 3rd level degree qualified in business, economics or a related field of study is essential. An additional post-graduate qualification or Masters would be an advantage. 1-2+ years relevant experience in an economic or similar analysis role ideally but graduates with a strong, relevant Co-op/work placement position will also be considered. Proven ability to think creatively & understand complex data clearly. Ability to manage multiple projects on an on-going basis. Strong inter-personal skills & ability to collaborate across diverse teams & stakeholder groups. Strong quantitative/qualitative research skills. Proficiency in R or STATA is desirable. The Offer : This position is being offered on an initial 12 month contract basis with strong potential for longer-term. Salary will depend on skills/experience but is expected to be approx. 40-50k on a pro-rata basis.
