New requirement for an Injection Moulding Engineering Technician with our Limerick based client on an initial 12-month contract basis. The Injection Molding Engineering Technician will be responsible for providing day to day support to the Manufacturing Injection Molding Engineer. THE ROLE: * Provide technical expertise to Operations in the area of molding machine, robotics and ancillary equipment maintenance and repair. * Apply effective project management skills in the areas of injection molding cell uptime and reliability coupled with excellent overall verbal and written communication skills. * Root cause molding issues and identify corrective and preventative actions. * Ensure that all changes are in compliance with our Quality System. REQUIREMENTS: * A minimum of an advanced diploma in a scientific, engineering, or related discipline is required. * 3 years' experience in an Injection Molding / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Technician role or a related discipline is preferred. * Prior experience working in a regulated environment is highly desirable but not essential. * Experience of fault-finding or designing electrical/mechanical systems or PLC/control systems is an advantage. * A demonstrated ability to work independently and in team-oriented environments, of change, risk mitigation, and flexibility will be needed. * Must be capable of handling multiple projects/tasks at the same time as well as the ability to listen to customers' needs and develop solutions to meet their requirements. * A demonstrated proficiency in the use of statistical and design software packages is highly desirable but not essential. * Experience in completing Change Requests and validation documentation desirable but again, not essential.
