We are looking to recruit A Community Service Manager to join a longstanding growing team of experts based in Cork city. This is a very personal centred service, within an organisation that support learning, innovation, career development, education etc. This is a fulltime position, a 1 year contract working Monday to Friday only. Role Summary: You will promote the development of independent living skills, while you assist our service users in their day to day tasks. Their safety and wellbeing will be your utmost priority at all times. You will nurture their ability to make their own choices and support them every step of the way, as they reach their full potential. You will be a champion of dignity, empathy and inclusion for all people with disabilities, within the community. My client provides services for over 20,000 adults and children. Clients vary from people with disabilities, people on the autism spectrum, people with mental health difficulties, people who are disadvantaged in some way in the labour market, and people who want a fresh start. Essential Requirements. A third level qualification in health and social care is essential with or working towards a management element. Proven ability to manage complex and challenging services for persons with an intellectual disability, Physical & Sensory and/or a dual diagnosis. Proven competence to support, develop and motive a large team. Experience of budget management and control with strong IT skills. Be action orientated; enjoying working hard and seeking challenges with an ability to act and react as required, even in circumstances of limited/incomplete information. Be flexible regarding working hours and travel in order to meet the operational needs of the service and organisation. Participate in an on-call rota, as required. Benefits.
