My client a leading multinational company based in the south west of Limerick County, designs and manufactures innovative plastic packaging for a range of customers around the world. Due to growth they are now looking for a Production Manager to join their successful team. This is an excellent company to work for even though they are a large multinational they have a lovely SME feel. The Production Manager is responsible for managing the production including productivity, on time delivery, quality and health & safety. The Production Manager will also be responsible for meeting company agreed targets in relation to on time delivery KPIs and people management. Responsibilities: * Management of key operational KPI's OEE, OTIF, Scrap. *Lead and develop production teams. *Lead the production daily review's, lead through the effective use of visual management tools. *Co- ordination of production priorities with departmental technical teams. *Maintaining minimum staff levels in co-operation with HR department. *Identify planning and training needs for all department staff with HR department. *Challenging route cause of analysis, including 7 Steps problem solving. *Setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards to 6S Standard in the plant with particular emphasis on Health and Safety. *Zero tolerance mentality regarding product, oil and waste on the floor. *Challenging waste figures and initiate root cause analysis, including 7 Step Analysis to < 1.5%. *Maintaining stock levels on production floor in co-operation with Warehouse manager. *Oversee and comply with startup protocols. *Bring fresh ideas, promote Kaizen. Requirements: *Minimum 3 years experience as a Production Supervisor/Manager in a manufacturing environment. *People management skills and experience. *Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP.
