General Manager / Site Lead. Limerick, Ireland. The Opportunity. We’re looking for a General Manager for the new office in Limerick, Ireland. In this role, you will be part of the internal Campus team, responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing a world class organization including product development as well as other functions in Limerick, Ireland. Through transformative payments and credential-driven transactions and privileges, we partner with institutions to help them make their student and family experience mobile-centric, personal and individualized, and completely connected all across campus. Our open enterprise-class cloud platform enables mission-critical capabilities that translate into superior student and family experiences, integration with every aspect of campus life, and richer institutional insight. This connected campus experience includes integrated tuition and fee payments, comprehensive dining and retail credential-driven transactions, configurable security and privilege management, and automated attendance and events. At each interaction across these capabilities, meaningful data is captured so campus leaders can make informed decisions and take proactive action. Our solutions easily integrate with campus systems and partners with a broad, open ecosystem, maximizing existing investments, evolving quickly, and delivering a personalized solution. We are headquartered in Phoenix, AZ USA, and have served the education community for over twenty-five years. Position Responsibilities. As General Manager of our Irish operations, you will be responsible for creating and managing a world class set of teams in the campus commerce and security world, including product teams and teams supporting other functions. Specific responsibilities will include: 1. Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff to the new Transact center in Limerick Ireland ensuring we are hiring high quality world class talent. Build the our brand both in Ireland, Limerick specifically, and in Europe with an eye to attracting and retaining the best talent possible. Develop a recruiting pipeline, working with recruiters, local HR, networking with people locally, developing an extend recruiting network with individual contacts. Develop and manage a community outreach program including working with local schools, sponsoring and speaking at appropriate events, developing events such as coding dojos, and any other means you can devise of getting the Transact name positively out to the community. 2. Develop a program of engagement with local universities. Offer speakers to universities. Attend recruiting events. Sponsor capstone projects. Work with local universities on research projects. Working with other companies provide feedback on curriculum. Working with other local companies develop joint training programs. Identify other targets of opportunity to bind Transact closely to the local universities. Build an ongoing pipeline of entry level candidates from the local university programs. 3. Keep an ongoing engagement with IDA. Hold regular contacts with local IDA on any issues or items of interest, any assistance we need from them. Respond and support any contact help they request. 4. Support and maintain an outstanding work environment. Work with facilities, consultants, and other leadership on the design and maintenance of an optimized office design. Develop a staff engagement model to get input, feedback, and adjust management approaches to ensure a motivated and productive workforce. Develop a culture of excellence, delivery, and pride in the Limerick office working with HR, the local teams, and any consultants if we choose. Establish a tight alignment between the Limerick and Phoenix offices, leadership, and teams. Design and implement the processes, methods, and approaches to support this goal. Work closely with other tech companies in Limerick, attend and participate in local IT discussions, collaboration projects. Identify areas for engagement and collaboration with local IT organizations, companies. Work closely with local government as needed. Become familiar with local officials and obtain their positive support for our business growth and the benefits to the community. 5. Play the role of coach, mentor, and leader in Limerick. Devise metrics on morale and employee satisfaction such as Net Promoter or other mechanisms, and use them to take appropriate actions. Devise programs, working with HR and the local teams, that promote employee satisfaction, work environment, and a highly rated workplace. Develop programs for performance based management. Be an advocate for the Limerick office and the value it will provide. Be an advocate for our company in Europe working with the senior leadership and business development, exploring opportunities in Europe. The Candidate. Has 10+ years of Operations Management experience. Has deep local knowledge and experience in hiring and working with local universities and educational institutions in recruiting and supporting research and development. Dynamic leader who can inspire people with messaging and interpersonal skills, manage to a result-oriented plan, and attract world class talent. Highly organized with experience in developing a performance-based organization. Professional Qualifications - Required Skills: Experience in building and leading profitable business organization. Ability to be an inspirational leader, paint a vision of the organization with an exciting future. Knowledge and experience in the Limerick business environment. Knowledge and experience the day to day planning and operations of business entity. This would include resource and capacity planning and management.
