International purchasing & Shipping Coordinator. I am working with a client in limerick who is looking for a Purchasing & Shipping Coordinator to join their team. This client specializes in a next day delivery to all of Ireland and same day service to certain locations. With close to 80 people employed here you will be joining a close-knit hard-working team. They have two businesses in Limerick - the wholesale division was started 30 years ago and two years after that the owner opened his first retail shop in Rathkeale and from there it has grown from strength to strength. This role would be perfect for a person who has experience with international purchasing and shipping. Possibly coming from a Purchasing administrator / junior buyer position with exposure to logistics. You would need to be proficient and able to hit the ground running, as this is an integral part of the business. List of duties: create movement reports and re-orders schedules to create continuous feed of stock to telesales team covering both Irish and UK markets. Ensure container orders are placed in proper time slots to ensure a scheduled arrival time. To liaise with factories purchasing cycles to ensure production and shipping. To cross reference pricing on specialised software to ensure the best deals for the business. Liaise with factories to ensure production is on schedule and no shortages on production runs. The ability to negotiate with factories in America, UK, Serbia, Taiwan, Italy, China, Vietnam and Thailand and have knowledge to sign pro Forma invoices and ensure terms, stock and pricing is correct. Also, to create Pro Forma invoice and legal detail for UK customers to sign to avoid refusal of containers or any delays leading to port charges. To liaise with local shipping offices and factories to arrange collection of goods whether FOB, CIF or C&F terms. Track shipping and arrivals times and ensure BOL (bill of lading) documents are in order or telex releases to clear goods in Rotterdam, Cork, Felixstowe and Grangemouth. Manage file with ETD and ETA to avoid port charges and arrange deliveries for Ireland and UK. Your profile: Relevant experience, proven track record in managing multiple tasks. Detail orientated with a high degree of accuracy. Be IT proficient, if you have used a SAP/ERP or oracle system this would be advantageous.
