Description

Infrastructure Automation Engineer – Historian Systems. Summary: The Automation Infrastructure Engineer will implement the automation objectives to improve product quality, reduce human error and increase manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness by providing highly effective process automation systems for production of biopharmaceuticals at the Raheen facility. The Automation Engineer must work independently, with limited supervision or direction. The Automation Engineer will work within a cross functional multidiscipline team environment to determine objectives and priority of assignments. Be capable of independent decision making and use of judgment, as well as prioritization of work accordingly to align with annual objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Perform the administration, change, configuration, integration, maintenance, programming, and qualification of assigned Historical Data Systems and SQL Databases in a GMP regulated manufacturing environment. Maintain assigned GMP automation systems in a current, secure, and validated state in accordance with Standards, including all regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Support site manufacturing, safety, quality, and environmental automation and related information needs. Install, maintain, and inspect control system and client-server installations throughout the facility. Inspect and review process automation installations for design and troubleshooting purposes. Perform periodic evaluation reports on system operation. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technological field and 1+ years of relevant work experience. Historian System configuration, qualification, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and working in a team-based environment are essential for success in this position. Proficient in English, both oral and written, with sound technical writing skills. Expertise using Microsoft office and project management tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Project) required. Ability to understand and update P&ID’s and automation design specifications. High level of technical expertise in and experience with computer and instrumentation troubleshooting, problem solving, and maintenance. Organizational skills, dependability and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. Preferred Knowledge and understanding of the following: Experience with cGMP and validation pertaining to biopharmaceutical production operations and computerized systems is highly desirable. Historical Data System Administration: GE Proficy, FactoryTalk, OSI PI, Yokogawa. VMWare Server installation, service, and support. Historian Applications installation, service, and support.
