Our Client a leading 3PL provider with multiple sites across the Island of Ireland now require a Warehouse Supervisor based in Limerick. The primary function of this role is to manage the day to day activities within the warehouse. This involves managing and driving productivity and accuracy whilst ensuring adherence to customer levels and targets. The successful candidate will need to be an effective communicator and lead by example, actively promoting health and safety within the warehouse. This role requires the successful candidate to be highly proficient in the use of Counterbalance and Reach trucks. Duties & Responsibilities Operate forklifts as required, Counterbalance, Reach & PPT. Supervise safe and responsible working practices and procedures, ensuring statutory requirements are met and improvements are implemented. Plan, prioritise and monitor the activities of a team to ensure that service, quality and audit standards are achieved and to maintain personnel files (PC and paper based) in respect of ongoing staff performance. Ensure delivery of the highest possible service to customers by supervising, training and motivating staff to meet current and future requirements. Review and monitor working practices, providing recommendations for change and implementing where appropriate to improve the performance and effectiveness of the team. Provide technical input on product, processes or systems to resolve complex issues and act as a point of expertise. Contribute to operational plans and formulate own depot plans and budgets, monitor results and integrate with other business areas where necessary. Liaise with warehouse manager to ensure accuracy of stock, following up on all shorts/damage issues. Minimum Requirements: Essential Requirements. An in depth understanding of the Transport / Logistics industry. Highly proficient in driving forklifts, such as, counterbalance and reach. Skills in communication, problem solving, planning and organising, negotiating and budgeting. Ability to manage internal and external relationships. Skills in leading and developing people and in managing their performance. Strong PC skills. Ability to work well under pressure. Desirable Requirements. Experience of SAP/Opus System.
