ICT System Administrator. Unijobs on behalf of one of our public sector clients, The University Hospital Limerick are currently recruiting for an ICT System Administrator for an initial time frame of three months with the potential for extension. The position will be based within our public sector client in Limerick. Candidates must be available to start immediately. The salary for this role is between €35000 and €40000 depending on experience. The position of ICT System Administrator encompasses IT duties and administrative responsibilities. These include: Delivering configuration support in a focused and consistent manner, adhering to national and local standards, with guidance from local business managers and national team(s) where appropriate. Creating and maintaining document templates on assigned systems. Supporting the creation and maintenance of system profiles in conjunction with the appropriate business leads. Responding to configuration related helpdesk calls assigned to SysAdmin, prioritising by urgency and importance, ensuring that they are dealt efficiently and to the satisfaction of the customer. Initial troubleshooting of local configuration issues and escalating to appropriate personnel where necessary (nationally or third party. Supporting interface management in conjunction with local team and National leads. Participating in downtime planning, execution of such plans and restoration of assigned systems. Maintaining change control logs for supported applications. Maintaining issues logs for supported applications. Auditing & reviewing data to ensure alignment with standards. Liaising with trainers highlighting any training needs identified. Liaising with relevant team on changes to datasets etc. Participating in conference calls with national user groups/system leads. Participating in project teams, as required, to facilitate configuration of new applications and upgrades to existing systems, ensuring that consistent standards are being applied. Participating in system configuration testing, as required, to facilitate introduction of new applications and upgrades to existing systems. Maintaining local repository of agreed system configuration, SOPs for supported systems, any operational SOPs linked to such systems and standards documents. Providing cross cover support within the Department including annual leave, sick leave, etc. Attending approved training courses. Supervising contractor/vendors while carrying out work/installations on premises relating to system configuration, where appropriate. Participating in committees and attending meetings relating to supported systems as required. Performing administrative tasks necessary to complete role. Other project/specific items of work as needs arise.
