Industrial Engineer Co. Limerick - €45,000 - €50,000. Specialising in the development and manufacture of innovative electronic, electromechanical and mechatronic products for a variety of industrial applications, our multinational client is now looking for to recruit an Industrial Engineer to join their team at the state of art, hi-tech manufacturing facility in Co. Limerick. You... - You will hold a Degree level qualification or higher in Industrial, Production, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline. - You will also be able to demonstrate a minimum of 3 years experience in High Volume Manufacturing environments. - Experience of Methods and Time Study (MTM) & Ergonomics would be beneficial as well as Lean manufacturing techniques, including value stream mapping. - Computer Literacy is a requirement, specifically in Excel. Computer programming knowledge of one of the following C, C++ or Visual Basic is required. Green or Black belt six sigma would be an advantage. Good analytical skills required. The Role... - Product Cost improvement projects. - Factory Layouts including ergonomic workplace design & overall material handling improvements & optimisation. - Work methods leading to process & efficiency improvements. - Time studies and work plans, including maintenance of SAP Database. - To provide manufacturing with accurate standard time and to ensure that production processes are efficient. - Value Stream Mapping activities along with activity sampling projects. - Plant capacity analysis, line balancing, process design and layout planning. - Support new product introduction e.g. pre-calculations. - Manufacturing costings (impact analysis of proposed processes. - Lean Six Sigma projects cost reduction activities using lean manufacturing tools. - Return on Investments (ROI) calculations. - Health and safety for self and others. - Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor/manager.
