IT Project Manager

Responsibilities.  Proven experience delivering projects across different streams (cross functional / international teams) including business change; infrastructure & application development projects.  Solid understanding of IT infrastructure comprised of Workplace management with SCCM, Virtual Data Centre environments.  Ability to manage resource conflicts and plan accordingly to avoid failure of delivery.  Experience leading, motivating and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance.  Strong project management skills; Experience reporting on project metrics / KPI’s and analysing trends/taking action where required; Self-motivated, quick and assertive.  Broad understanding of systems architecture and development lifecycles.  Strong project management skills: use of structured, formal methods.  Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience of infrastructure/networks; software development and technologies.  Experience negotiating vendor contracts & strong stakeholder management experience.  MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred.  Initiate projects and manage projects from inception through to completion.  Engagement with customer’s project office and clarify agreements in advance of works.  Communication of Project activity in both written form and on project touch point calls.  Update internal and customer stakeholders on project progress / escalation etc.  Scheduling resources / ability to navigate change to requirements.  Execute assignments within established timeframes and quality standards, while responding to immediate needs.  Establish PMO process and process improvements. Requirements / Qualifications.  Min 5 years proven experience managing complex IT projects to completion.  5 years Previous Project Management experience is essential.  Previous administrative experience in an IT background highly essential.  Experience working within IT delivery on Infrastructure related projects is essential.  PMI / Prince 2 certification or training.  Proficiency with MS Project / MS Planner / Teamwork.  Must be an excellent communicator, able to communicate clearly and effectively, in order to discuss/document technical information.  Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.  Ability to explain complex topics to a varied audience of people who are in IT and non-IT roles.  Enthusiastic personality who can contribute to a fun working environment.  Organized and detail oriented with excellent time management skills.  Ability to multitask and ability to adapt to change. Special Requirements/Certifications.  Driving license and access to car is essential.  PMI or Prince 2 certification / training is preferable.  3rd Level Degree or IT related qualification desirable.
