Job Title EHS Specialist. About Company Our client based in Limerick is seeking aEHS Specialist to join its expanding team. Duration of role 12 months. Summary Objective Assists with the design, implementation, maintenanceand review of the company's Environmental, Health and Safety programmes toensure compliance with legislative, corporate and industry requirements. Job Duties Perform periodic evaluationsto ensure compliance with safety and environmental permits, plans, policies andregulatory requirements. Reinforce the importance of EHS in the organisationand work with site teams to integrate EHS into facility operations and tocontinuously develop a positive EHS culture. .Assist in the preparation,implementation and review of EHS Procedures and other EHS documents appropriateto the scope of site activities and in compliance with J&J requirements. Co-ordinate and provide technical support for the site risk assessmentprogramme Ensure that adequate evacuation and response arrangements are inplace for fire and emergency situations.Investigate accidents and incidents;develop corrective actions and track progress.Assist with the management ofcontractor related activities during normal operations and project/constructionactivities. .Prepare EHSreports as required for both internal and external groups e.g. J&JCorporate reporting requirements. Assist with the identification of EHStraining needs. Develop and deliver EHS training programmes as appropriate. Requirements Skills andexperience No visa processing A relevant third level qualification inScience, Engineering or EHS, with at least 5 years. experience in the environment, health andsafety area is a prerequisite for the position. Good overall knowledge of legal requirements and best practices inboth Environment and Safety. Previous experience in dealing with regulatory agencies. Previous experience in carrying out HazardAnalysis and Risk Assessment. DESIRABLE: Familiarity with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 would be a distinctadvantage. Excellentcommunication, presentation, and training skills. A flexible approach, good priority setting skills and ability todeal with multiple tasks. Benefits.
