ABOUT THE HOSPITAL: University Hospital Limerick is the Model 4 hospital for the region providing major surgery, cancer treatment and care, emergency department services, as well as a range of other medical, diagnostic and therapy services. It is where all critical care services are located in addition to a 24/7/365 Emergency Department. University Limerick (UL) Hospitals is made up of six clinical sites: University Hospital Limerick, University Maternity Hospital, Croom Orthopaedic Hospital, Ennis Hospital, and Nenagh Hospital. The hospitals provide acute care for the population of Limerick, Clare, North Tipperary and surrounding counties. Patients who require access to critical and complex care are seen at University Hospital Limerick and either stabilised and transferred to a local Model 2 hospital or admitted to UHL if required. The bed complement is: inpatient 438. psychiatry 48. day spaces 76. THE POSITION: There are vacancies across a range of specialties at UHL for both newly qualified and experienced staff nurses trained within the EU. The positions available are all full-time, permanent positions.
