R&D and Manufacturing Facility. We Design, develop and Manufacture RUO (Research Use Only) Instruments supporting the Biomedical Research field. The team consists of Engineers and Scientists spanning Hardware and Systems engineering, Software Development, and Biological Applications. BDBI also boasts capability in Instrument Manufacturing and Supply Chain. The team have supported a number of exciting projects from concept through to full product development and commercial launch. We currently have a vacancy for a Software Testing Engineer. This position has become available due to internal promotion. This role is to complete all software manual and automation testing for the instruments that are being built. This person will execute software test strategies/techniques, schedules, and plans. They will review software requirements and functional descriptions to assess testability and provide feedback to the Development Team. They will develop and maintain manual and automated test cases that verify product functionality and are traceable to software requirements. They will setup test environments with required data, software and hardware configurations, and/or software and hardware simulators. The ideal candidate will develop and execute verification test protocols in a formal verification environment per applicable company procedures. Part of the responsibility of this role is to analyze test result data to identify or isolate cause of defects and provide feedback to the development team. For the position it is imperative to maintain documentation of test results and defect reports. - Experience of End to End testing with - Functional & Manual Testing (Automation and Manual is the ideal) - Very Detail Orientated The successful candidate will have between 1-5yrs experience of working within a software testing environment. They will have a Minimum of a Degree in Computer Science or a Mech/Elec Engineering Degree. This person will have experience with Selenium WebDriver, MSTest, MTM, and Visual Studio. C#, JavaScript knowledge is an advantage and previous experience of working in a biomedical environment is a plus. They must be an effective communicator who has excellent organization skills and an eye for detail. Being able to work in a team environment is imperative to this role. They will be a self-starter who can exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. This person will be working on complex problems where analysis of data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. They need to be able to identify the means to overcome technical problems. This person will be scripting and working in the following areas: E2E testing, unit testing, integration testing, functional testing & manual testing.
