Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client client The University Hospital Limerick are currently recruiting for an ICT Support Analyst. The successful candidate will work a 37 hour week Monday to Friday and must be available to start immediately. This post will run for an initial time period of 3 - 6 months. The primary duty of this role is to support various clinical and enterprise grade systems. Principal duties and responsibilities: Setting up and configuring user application accounts for various enterprise and clinical apps ensuring users have access to the appropriate systems/roles and rights required to fulfil their roles and access to system(s) at a work station level where appropriate. Taking calls and logging support ticket(s), resolving if possible, if not forwarding to appropriate area. Resolving password issues. Managing print issues related to various. Training super users on applications. Participate in downtime preparation, execution of downtime plans and restoration of assigned systems. Participating in system testing, as required, to facilitate introduction of new applications and upgrades to existing systems. Providing cross cover support within the department. Participating in the introduction of standardised processes and continuous improvement programmes. Performing administrative tasks necessary to complete role. Supporting interface management. Participating in conference calls with national user groups/system leads. Participating in project teams, as required, to facilitate configuration of new applications and upgrades to existing systems, ensuring that consistent standards are being applied. Maintaining local repository of agreed system configuration, SOPs for supported systems, any operational SOPs linked to such systems and standards documents. Performing administrative tasks necessary to complete role. Essential eligibility Criteria Qualifications, experience and knowledge. Minimum Cert/Diploma qualified in a relevant I.T. or similar discipline 1-2 years' experience in an application support role. Essential skills / competencies and or knowledge. Professional Knowledge. Experience with desktop and server technologies. Basic programming knowledge. Strong problem-solving skills. Experience supporting office I.T. environments. Planning & Organising. Demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills to meet objectives within agreed timeframes and achieve quality results. Demonstrate evidence of effective planning and organisational skills including an awareness of resource management. Demonstrate the ability to improve efficiency within the working environment and the ability to evolve and adapt to a rapid changing environment. Excellent customer support skills. Teamwork. Demonstrate team work skills including the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team environment. Demonstrate motivation and an innovative approach to the job within a changing working environment. Demonstrate ability to support develop and empower staff in changing work practises in a challenging environment within existing resources. Communication & Interpersonal. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner to a wide range of stakeholders.
