McMahons Builders Providers have been providing quality building supplies and DIY materials to the trade and public for over 185 years and are now seeking applications for the position of Credit Controller for their Limerick Branch, located in Limerick City. The key responsibilities of this role will include; For a given customer database, managing the collection and resolution of outstanding balances. Conducting regular reviews of the allocated debtor’s ledgers and following up on payments due. Ensuring that all customer queries are responded to in a timely manner. Co-ordinating the completion of new customer/credit application forms including the checking of trade references. Preparing credit limit increase applications and submitting to head office. Ensuring that all company credit control procedures are adhered to. Liasing with external sales staff, branch management, head office personnel and various internal departments to ensure that the collections, overdue debt and debtors days targets are achieved. Ensuring that company lodgements and cash handling policies are adhered to at all times. As this role is a key position in the operation of a branch in a busy environment there could be other ad hoc/administrative duties when and if required. The successful candidate must possess; A minimum of 2 years experience in a credit control or similar position in a busy environment. Excellent analytical, numerical, communication and interpersonal skills. Be computer literate and experienced in using IT systems including MS Office.
