R&D and Manufacturing Facility. We Design, develop and Manufacture RUO (Research Use Only) Instruments supporting the Biomedical Research field. The team consists of Engineers and Scientists spanning Hardware and Systems engineering, Software Development, and Biological Applications. BDBI also boasts capability in Instrument Manufacturing and Supply Chain. The team have supported a number of exciting projects from concept through to full product development and commercial launch. We currently have a vacancy for a C# Software Engineer II Developer to join our team and help us to develop C# cross platform libraries for instrument control and algorithms, which will be used on both RTOS and desktop platforms with operating systems ranging from embedded Windows to Linux. A key part of this role is the responsibility for the software design and architecture of the systems and to integrate the software modules into products. This person will develop product functionality that will be used on many types of instruments. This person is to participate in all phases of development (specification, design, development and bug fixing. Key Responsibilities: - Manage software availability, latency, scalability and efficiency; - Build unit tests to lock down algorithm behavior and guarantee success; - Build API tests to automate the behavior testing; The successful candidate will have a BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or other related engineering field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in software development. You need to have extensive experience in C# development. This person will have worked within a cross platform C, C++ & C# library development and have knowledge in developing multi-threading highly scalable components, thorough knowledge of the standard library, STL containers, and algorithms and know-how on writing applications BOOST. Good understanding of JavaScript, its quirks and workarounds and basic understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3 knowledge is an advantage and previous experience of working in a biomedical environment is a plus. You must have strong skills in deadline management and ability to work in a team environment, being able to communicate and have an excellent organization skill and an eye for detail. Willing to follow the coding process including peer code reviews and code quality gating measures is imperative to this role.
