Reporting to the Director of International Marketing the post of Social Media and PR Manager to join our International marketing team.The Social and PR Manager will manage the brand’s social presence across multiple channels. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating innovative and compelling social media strategies, plans, and content that connects customers with our offerings and products. This person will be each brand’s voice in social media, responsible for creating and publishing new and effective content to extend our social presence and engage the communities across a variety of social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The role will measure and report on impact and effectiveness of social media content against stated goals and strategies. In addition, s/he will be a social media content expert working with product and creative teams to inform plans and roadmaps. The Social & PR Manager will manage the development and implementation of the company’s public relations strategy. They will nurture the corporate image by developing and executing effective communication and media relations programs. In this role the successful candidate will manage the public relations strategy, crisis/issues communications, product/service launch communications and PR events. This person will actively work hands-on with marketing, product management and senior executives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – SOCIAL : Own the company social media marketing strategy across existing and new social platforms. Create and execute strategies for content to be posted on social media channels including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. Frequently audit the success of the community by measuring against engagement in order to reach KPIs, as well as present results to internal stakeholders. Be aware how customers want to engage with each brand across social platforms. Create, publish and manage daily social posts as well as daily community. Create and maintain strategic paid campaigns across a variety of social channels while defining, and benchmarking KPI’s. Create and manage the social editorial content calendar. Work closely with the creative team to ensure all work accurately represents the each brand. Help source and manage content marketing assets for use on social media, campaigns and other digital properties through the internal creative team, influencer outreach, and UGC. Link with customer care, maintaining effective, efficient responses with customer inquiries. Seek and evaluate new social media platforms and technology opportunities and stay at the forefront of the adoption of new social media trends, tools, and channels. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – PR. Create and oversee the International public relations strategy that ensures awareness and understanding of the vision and strategy, aligned to the company’s business objectives and promotes a positive company image. Plan, execute, measure and report on all PR programs. Cultivate and manage strong media & influencers relationships to share content. Manage relationship with our International PR Agencies. Work closely with product managers, marketing, sales, and executives on ongoing initiatives including identifying and developing compelling stories around our products. Lead a cross-regional effort, in collaboration with regional counterparts, that results in a cohesive and effective approach to public relations. Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media. Use social media platforms to communicate with the media, partners and consumers. Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them. Prepare executives for media interactions and public appearances. Manage external international agency partners to drive our product and brand PR with programs including: Develop a marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics. Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media. Maintain a schedule of upcoming product launches, award submissions, events and announcements. Plan and participate in press tours and attend key industry events. Secure regular and consistent coverage & awards for products. Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a regular basis. Collaborate with social media, customer, partner and user group teams to develop press opportunities. Seek and evaluate opportunities for partnerships and sponsorships on an on-going basis. Development of press materials including press releases, FAQs, product review guides, media kits, fact sheets, bylined articles, blog posts, etc. EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS SOCIAL. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or similar. 6 years + experience in developing, launching and managing Social & PR Strategy development and planning. SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS. Must have strong social media experience across multiple platforms and the ability to offer innovative ideas for strategies and expansion. Must have a strong visual eye to help guide design process and production of assets. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, team-oriented, ability to work with a wide range of internal departments. Experience with paid campaign management tools such as Facebook Ads Manager/Power Editor, Twitter Ads, etc. Hands on experience with Google Analytics or other web analytics. Proficiency with SRP, UGC and listening tools such as TweetDeck, Sprout Social, Pixlee, NUVI, Crimson Hexagon, etc. Familiarity with Adobe toolset and similar design platforms: Photoshop, Lightroom, Sketch, etc. Proven ability to develop and shape an effective PR strategy. Proven track record designing and executing successful PR programs. Experience in managing public relations agency activities and budgets. Experience in Brand and Product specific PR programs – experience in consumer goods industry (consumer electronics specifically) highly preferred.
