The Job Suite are currently seeking a General Manager for our client in Limerick. Job Description: To ensure the site is run efficiently and effectively at all times and provide our customers with excellent quality products and services. Over see the smooth running of internal eventing. To be responsible for general on-site management and staff management as well as all other Site Management duties as outlined below. General floor management and staff managementand cash management, rostering and administration. To oversee and ensure the smooth running of all ad hoc operations. To handle customer queries, requests and complaints according to the store’s procedure. To draw up and control staff roster and cost of labour. To ensure all staff reporting to you receive relevant training and their training is fully recorded on their HR files especially H&S, Hygiene and procedures training. To achieve Sales Targets as agreed with the company director. To achieve a Gross Profit Margin and Net Margin as agreed with the company director. To ensure duties and functions your fresh food manager and fresh food team are carried out effectively and efficiently. To ensure that all staff members are trained in department standards. To ensure the highest standard of customer service is given to all customers at all times. To ensure weekly stocktaking procedures are adhered to. To ensure purchasing of stock is carried out in accordance with and control of stock rotation, and from approved suppliers, so that quality and freshness of goods is of the highest standard so as to maximise turnover. To monitor cost prices on a weekly basis. To ensure company rules, policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. To ensure hygiene standards are to the highest standard including a comprehensive HACCP plan for all fresh food departments in the store. To ensure merchandising and presentation of the store is to the highest standard at all times. Any other duties as required by Management in line with business requirements. Ideal Candidate: Relevant retail management experience. Ideal for a current assistant manager looking to progress to general management. The role will be based in Limerick and will oversee the Operation on site for day to day operations. Someone with a bubbly personality who has a lot energy, someone who can think outside the box and knows how to wow the Customer. They must be able to multi task, bring together a team and be a relationship builder. We are looking for a people person, someone with presence who is commercially astute but who has an eye for detail and has a feel for continuous improvement.
