A leading Limerick based Transport Company now seeks to hire an experienced Operations Manager. Their role will be to coach, direct and co-ordinate staff and services to the benefit of the company and customers, in accordance with company operational procedures, financial budgets and statutory requirements, including Health and Safety. Duties & Responsibilities: Facilitate an awareness an accomplish budgets and targets set within the company. Ensure legislative compliance in all areas. Ensure that the company operates within statutory requirements, including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment. Continually evaluate operational practice in order to ensure optimum utilisation of resources. Develop and analyse methods and systems to establish and improve service levels. Select, train, motivate, appraise to develop and manage personnel to achieve total customer satisfaction. Develop and maintain effective communication and relationships with staff and customers. Identify, fulfil and review training and development needs of all subordinates within the department, through the formal appraisal process and on an ongoing basis. Effectively manage resources, through assessment of workloads and delegation of tasks, in order to meet deadlines and business objectives. Cultivate the corporate objectives throughout the company, to achieve team work and cooperation. Ensure the optimal use of resources, both internal and external, maximising cost effectiveness and maintaining service levels. Ensure timely completion of all business administration. Ensure problems and or difficulties which arise are dealt with promptly and in a professional and business like manner. Minimum Requirements: 2-3 years experience working as an Operations Manager. Strong planning and organising skills, with the ability to multi task whilst working to tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal & administrative skills. Excellent knowledge of tachograph rules for Ireland, UK, and Europe. Be computer literate with a good level of I.T. skills. Terms: Permanent – Full time. Package: Negotiable.
